Stupid Pat Robertson Quotes
The 10 Stupidest Things Pat Robertson Ever Said
10. “Lord, give us righteous judges who will not try to legislate and dominate this society. Take control, Lord! We ask for additional vacancies on the court.” Pat Robertson

9. “Just like what Nazi Germany did to the Jews, so liberal America is now doing to the evangelical Christians. It’s no different. It is the same thing. It is happening all over again. It is the Democratic Congress, the liberal-based media and the homosexuals who want to destroy the Christians. Wholesale abuse and discrimination and the worst bigotry directed toward any group in America today. More terrible than anything suffered by any minority in history.” Pat Robertson

8. “I would warn Orlando that you’re right in the way of some serious hurricanes, and I don’t think I’d be waving those flags in God’s face if I were you, This is not a message of hate — this is a message of redemption. But a condition like this will bring about the destruction of your nation. It’ll bring about terrorist bombs; it’ll bring earthquakes, tornadoes, and possibly a meteor.” Pat Robertson, on “gay days” at Disneyworld

7. “(T)he feminist agenda is not about equal rights for women. It is about a socialist, anti-family political movement that encourages women to leave their husbands, kill their children, practice witchcraft, destroy capitalism and become lesbians.” Pat Robertson

6. “I know this is painful for the ladies to hear, but if you get married, you have accepted the headship of a man, your husband. Christ is the head of the household and the husband is the head of the wife, and that’s the way it is, period.” Pat Robertson

5. “I’d like to say to the good citizens of Dover: If there is a disaster in your area, don’t turn to God, you just rejected him from your city. And don’t wonder why he hasn’t helped you when problems begin, if they begin. I’m not saying they will, but if they do, just remember, you just voted God out of your city. And if that’s the case, don’t ask for his help because he might not be there.” –Pat Robertson, after the city of Dover, Pennsylvania voted to boot the current school board, which instituted an intelligent design policy that led to a federal trial

4. “God considers this land to be his. You read the Bible and he says ‘This is my land,’ and for any prime minister of Israel who decides he is going to carve it up and give it away, God says, ‘No, this is mine.’ … He was dividing God’s land. And I would say, ‘Woe unto any prime minister of Israel who takes a similar course to appease the E.U., the United Nations, or the United States of America.’ God says, ‘This land belongs to me. You better leave it alone.’” –Pat Robertson, on why Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon suffered a massive stroke

3. “Maybe we need a very small nuke thrown off on Foggy Bottom to shake things up” Pat Robertson, on nuking the State Department

2. “You know, I don’t know about this doctrine of assassination, but if he thinks we’re trying to assassinate him, I think that we really ought to go ahead and do it. It’s a whole lot cheaper than starting a war … We have the ability to take him out, and I think the time has come that we exercise that ability. We don’t need another $200 billion war to get rid of one, you know, strong-arm dictator. It’s a whole lot easier to have some of the covert operatives do the job and then get it over with.” Pat Robertson, calling for the assassination of Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez

1. “It may be a blessing in disguise. … Something happened a long time ago in Haiti, and people might not want to talk about it. Haitians were originally under the heel of the French. You know, Napoleon the third, or whatever. And they got together and swore a pact to the devil. They said, we will serve you if you will get us free from the French. True story. And so, the devil said, okay it’s a deal. Ever since they have been cursed by one thing after the other.” Pat Robertson, on the earthquake in Haiti that destroyed the capital and killed tens of thousands of people, Jan. 13, 2010

earthquake hawaii

More about me at my blog below…

http://www.myonlinebusinessstrategyinfo.org

There have been earthquakes today in Hawaii, Alaska and Papua New Guinea. The earthquake in Hawaii was the weakest of them all, coming in at 3.5 on the Richter scale. This quake was really more of a tremor and basically made people nervous that there was more to come.

A 6.7 quake was felt today in the Fox Islands. The earthquake did not pose a tsunami threat to the United States West Coast. This is something that is of a concern from time to time when earthquakes strike in coastal regions.

The 7.3 earthquake in Papua New Guinea took place within what is dubbed “The Ring of Fire.” This area of the world experiences high magnitude earthquakes quite regularly.

The Papua New Guinea earthquake initially sparked tsunami fears in Indonesia, but warnings were subsequently lifted when it was realized that a threat was not posed.

There has been a lot of seismic activity this year. The reason you hear about it more and more is because people are sensitive after the megaquakes experienced in both Haiti and Chile. So far, we’ve averted any other major earthquake related disaster.

Situation Update No. 1
On 18.07.2010 at 15:58 GMT+2

Two powerful earthquakes struck the island of New Britain in Papua New Guinea on late Sunday evening, seismologists said, briefly sparking a local tsunami warning for Indonesia. The first earthquake at 11.04 p.m. local time (1304 GMT), with a magnitude of 7.2 on the Richter scale, was centered about 75 kilometers (45 miles) south-southeast of Kimbe, the capital of the province of West New Britain. It struck about 57.5 kilometers (35.7 miles) deep, making it a shallow earthquake, according to the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency of Indonesia. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) measured the strength of the earthquake at 6.9 on the Richter scale. A second earthquake at 11.35 p.m. local time (1335 GMT), with a magnitude of 7.2 on the Richter scale, struck about 107 kilometers (67 miles) east-northeast of Kandrian on New Britain. It struck approximately 26 kilometers (16.1 miles) deep, according to the Indonesian agency. The USGS measured the strength of the second earthquake at 6.8 on the Richter scale.

After the second earthquake hit, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency immediately issued a local tsunami warning for Indonesia. The agency canceled the warning about an hour later, and no tsunami waves were reported. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said there was no widespread tsunami threat based on historical earthquake and tsunami data. The USGS estimated some 10,000 people likely perceived ‘very strong’ shaking as a result of the first earthquake, which could result in moderate to heavy damage. “Overall, the population in this region resides in structures that are vulnerable to earthquake shaking, though some resistant structures exist,” the agency said. The agency further estimated that approximately 101,000 people likely perceived strong shaking, which could result in light to moderate damage. Some 522,000 others perceived weak to moderate shaking. For the second earthquake, the USGS estimated that approximately 12,000 people likely perceived ‘very strong’ shaking, while 106,000 others perceived strong shaking. Some 518,000 others likely perceived weak to moderate shaking. There were no immediate reports of damage or casualties as a result of the earthquakes. Indonesia and Papua New Guinea are on the so-called ‘Pacific Ring of Fire’, an arc of fault lines circling the Pacific Basin that is prone to frequent and large earthquakes. Volcanic eruptions also occur frequently.

Moderate earthquakes hit Venezuela, Chile

Earthquakes hit Venezuela, Chile, India, Papua New Guinea, and USA. On Tuesday morning, July 6, Venezuela’s Sucre state was rocked by a temblor measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale and centered 32 kilometers south of Guiria. Soon after, a 5.4-magnitude quake shook Chile’s Maule and Biobío regions when it hit 30 kilometers southwest of Talca. Very early Wednesday morning, Uttarakhand, India near the Nepalese border was shaken by a 5.1-magnitude temblor centered 105 kilometers from Haldwani, while a magnitude-5.4 quake struck off the coast of Papua New Guinea’s Bougainville region 130 kilometers west of Arawa. Meanwhile on Wednesday, a temblor registering 5.4 also rattled southern California in the USA. Centered 24 kilometers northwest of Borrego Springs, the tremors caused buildings to sway and were followed by a series of aftershocks. Fortunately, these events did not result in damage or injuries, and no tsunami warnings were issued.

While we are relieved to hear of the safety of those in the quake-hit regions, we look forward to the day that such disturbances have vanished through our conscious, eco-stabilizing ways.
