Expresiones would like to pay homage to all of those who lost their lives and the millions left homeless.

7.7 earthquake strikes Sumatra, Indonesia, according to the U.S. Geological Survey (3)
Indonesias Sumatra Island shook by 7.7 magnitude earthquake, which occurred on early Wednesday. It triggered a small Tsunami, snapped power lines and made the people search for higher ground. There were no reports of major injuries, but minor damages in some areas.
Abdul Karim, a government spokesman said more than a dozen of houses collapsed or damaged in Teupah Salatan village. We are still collecting reports of damages and injuries but the situation has returned to normal and people are going back home, he said.
Rumors about a tsunami panicked villagers living near the beach, said Eddy Effendi, a resident on Nias island. They ran away on motorbikes and cars or by climbing the hills. There was panic and chaos everywhere, but I dont see serious damage or injuries in my village.
In 2004 tsunami triggered by a 9.2 magnitude earthquake in the same part of Indonesia killed so many people in many countries on the Indian Ocean basin.

Early Saturday morning a devastating 8.8 magnitude earthquake struck Chile. Chiles TVN cable news channel was reporting over 700 deaths, with the toll expected to rise, as communications were still spotty around the center of quake, near the city of Concepción in the south. Chile President Michelle Bachelet declared a state of catastrophe.
Vital infrastructure, including roads, bridges, hospitals, and water and electricity systems, has been badly damaged. The government estimates around 1.5 million houses were damaged by the quake.
