Earthship recon crew in Haiti: June 30 – July 5, 2010. Thanks to everyone who helped provide information, connections, advice and donations for the Earthship Biotecture recon visit to Haiti. As it turned out it was much more than a recon visit… we built a building with the help of forty Haitians from the tent camps – ages four to fifty.

Haiti warns of political violence
Jean-Max Bellerive, Haiti’s prime minister, says his government is in danger of collapsing, as gangs and political opponents capitalise on its inability to deal with the aftermath of the January 12 earthquake.
His comments come amid concern that armed gangs could try to take advantage of the situation to re-take control of areas now patrolled by UN peacekeepers.
But the presence of foreign soldiers is seen as an insult to many who remain deeply loyal to Jean-Bertrand Aristide, Haiti’s former president, whose second term ended when he was ousted in a coup in 2004.
Al Jazeera’s Sebastian Walker reports from the capital, Port-au-Prince, where he met one of Aristide’s supporters who says he is ready to use weapons to bring back the former president. 20 Feb 10

Does anyone have any connection between the three major earthquakes in the past year Chile, China, Haiti?
I find it very odd whats happening. I am looking for connections with location, timing, or maybe a common threat/enemy.
What about the possibility of " WEATHER WARFARE"?
it’s because the ice caps are melting which stabilized keystones of tectonic motions
as they melt further the plates of the earth will undergo massive motions bringing about the shift, cleavage, destruction of many countries and continents around the globe
once the global panic sets in, most countries will institute a Naziesque rounding up of those who were most vocal in opposition to the global warming appeals and be exterminated
as the habitable lands shrink further and further our alien forefathers will come back to earth to rescue those remaining
this all will coincide with the 2012 events

High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program
The High Frequency Active Auroral Research Program (HAARP) is an investigation project jointly funded by the US Air Force, the US Navy, the University of Alaska, and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).[1] Its purpose is to investigate the ionosphere and establish whether some of its properties can be used for communication or surveillance purposes.[2] Started in 1993, the project is proposed to last for a period of twenty years. The system was designed and built by Advanced Power Technologies[citation needed] (APTI) and since 2003, by BAE Advanced Technologies.[1]
The facility currently operates a VHF and UHF radar, a fluxgate magnetometer, a digisonde, and an induction magnetometer alongside the transmitter facilities.

Future Challenges: Dealing with Disasters
Enrique Silva, a Metropolitan College assistant professor of urban affairs and city planning, Anuradha Mukherji, a MET lecturer, and Pablo Suarez (GRS’05), a visiting scholar at the Frederick S. Pardee Center for the Study of the Longer-Range Future and a guest scholar at the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis, discuss disasters in light of the recent earthquakes in Haiti and Chile. Issues brought up include viewing disasters as a question of economic development, environmental protection and social justice, disaster management and planning, the role of media in reporting disasters, and the need to make use of local knowledge.
