Who has a theory that those two recent earthquakes in Haiti is a sign of 2012?
I have a strong feeling that there is going to be some sort of sign between now and 2012, and don’t you guys find it odd that another strange thing happened since the tsunami that happened a while back?
The tsunami was in 2004 – 6 years ago.
There have been earthquakes and floods and tsunamis and volcanoes and all kinds of "strange things" for billions of years.
What sort of sign? Anything at all could be called "some sort of sign", and 2 years is a long time for something to happen.
Tell me why the Haiti Earthquake is somehow connected to 2012 – and what exactly in 2012 is it connected to, what exactly is going to happen? Logic, proof, evidence – something real. A " strong feeling" is not proof or evidence or even reliable.
Maybe the snowstorm in northern Ontario last week was a sign.
And the Szechuan earthquake in China in 2008.
And the Kashmir earthquake in Pakistan in 2005.
And Hurricane Katrina.
And the rising price of gas.
And the shortage of juicy apples in the stores.
And the aches in my joints on a rainy day.
Two Earthquakes, and 2012 is two years away…creepy.

Mmmmm, No. No matter what happens, the world will end when it ends. There’s no way for us to predict it. It could end tomorrow for all we know. I don’t think that any natural disaster that happens today is a foretelling of what may happen in 2 years. And, if something does happen and the world ends in 2012, who’s going to be here to say "See, told you!" I’m going to live my life like tomorrow could be my last day. I do that every day. I have no regrets that way. I won’t get to Heaven and say "I wish I had …." And, I won’t say "Gee, they were right, the world did end in 2012."

that was not a real earth quake that was a quake made by man. and the machine they used to make this quake is up in alaska. it is called a haarp a quake

No, I don’t think so. Earthquakes are natural disasters caused by tension released from the rocks in the Earth’s crust and upper mantle. This tension is due to friction between what scientists believe are large ‘plates’ floating on magma on the Earth’s surface. Sometimes earthquakes happen when the rocks in the earth’s crust bend and break. This causes shock waves to travel on the earth’s surface, resulting in widespread destruction. It’s just a natural disaster.

No you fool, nothing’s going to happen on 2012 and if anything does happen every paranoid fool out there is going to be quick to attribute it to the Mayan prophecy which states the world will end…And the prophecy never even said that! It said that the world as we know it shall end and we will enter a new golden age. Movies took the prophecy and contorted its meaning and now people take it too seriously as an apocalyptic prediction.

I’m betting you don’t know that there are earthquakes every single day, all over the world.
And no, I don’t find it odd for the earth to do what it normally does. I guess earthquakes seem odd or strange to you because you don’t know anything about geology (or any science, really), and you don’t know what’s perfectly normal behavior for the planet.

I predict that in the next two years, sometime before 12/21/2012:
Several famous people will die!
At least one hurricane will hit the southern coast of the U.S.! It will cause damage, property loss, several injuries, and even death!
Avatar will win at least one Oscar!
Sometime within the next four weeks, a white, cold substance will fall from the skies and cover the ground somewhere in the northern hemisphere!
At some point in the next two years, the U.S. will experience flooding!
A tornado will hit the midwest U.S. There will be injuries, and even death!
Several people will report "strange, inexplicable lights in the sky!"
Bigfoot will be sighted many times, yet no conclusive evidence will be found! Again!
And sometime in the next two years, YOU will get hurt! There might even be blood!
Now, what you need to do about all this is sacrifice many cheeseburgers to the Great Kitteh God, and pray for the deliverance of all mankind. ONLY YOU CAN DO THIS!

I have a theory that it’s a sign that the planet is still tectonically active. Which is a good, otherwise it would wind up like Mars, all dry and dusty.

Although I am skeptical about what might be occurring on that date, I have a feeling it’s more about the End of Days predicted in the Book of Revelation.
The Mayas never claimed the world would end, it’s just a date they chose to end their calendar because of an alignment among the Earth, Sun and Galactic Center on Winter Solstice. There’s a lot more theories and evidence I have to support my theories on a Geomagnetic Reversal, but since that’s not really the question you asked I will discontinue my theory on what is yet to come.
I’m not sure how much of a biblical scholar you are, but if you reread the book of revelation it mentions many cryptic symbolegies that is rather impossible to determine. Everyone reading over that thinks all the trumpets and such will go off in order of a matter of years. It’s possible we’re already halfway through the sixth or seventh trumpet. The second woe the Book of Revelation speaks of would be natural disasters. These all wouldn’t necessarily occur at once, but over a gradual period of time a multitude of natural disasters would add up in the death toll.
During the relief of all these natural disasters is supposedly when the anti-Christ is due to take over. I’ve often suspected that 2012 will be symbolic in some way. Perhaps a geomagnetic reversal will cause much more cataclysmic upheavals.
2012 may or may not be the ends of days; but in my theories the end will come within the next hundred years. It has to… humanity is just pushing their luck with all our nuclear weapons and self indulgences.

I'm glad that Japan and the other countries near the pacfic ocean are okay… no need for another natural desaster like Haiti…
On the otherside, maybe most people who are actually confronted with earthquakes wouldn't understand it, but I am kind of fascinated by earthquakes and would like to feel at least a small one for once… In Europe there are absolutely no earthquakes since there is not really a huge continental drift going on with the eurasian plate. There is this table on Wikipedia comparing the magnitudes of earthquakes with the amount of tnt you would need to create one of the same strength. almost makes my eyes pop out… Please don't take any offense, I know how cruel earthquakes can be… It's just my curiosity…
