Should we need to develop more scientific knowledges to protect the world from happening disasters?
We re living in the threatening world happening various disasters around the globe. Can science help to prevent happening such disasters.If science cant do anything then whats use of science. It is better to learn sth that can help us such as religion, ect which encourage people to control oneself from greediness, anger, ect.
Technology is pushing forwards as fast as it can. If it happens to help save the planet it`s obviously a good thing. But no one can foresee or guarantee that technology will always help. It isn`t magic.
It can destroy the world, as well as help it. The choice is up to us humans getting along together.

We do. We prevent plagues with sanitation and vaccination. We prevent damage and death from earthquakes (such as Haiti) by designing and building structures to with stand them. Same for hurricanes. We are very good at predicting hurricanes and ordering evacuations. Religion is responsible for a very large share of violence people have perpetrated on one another.
