Prevent Windows XP Disasters – Backup your System

In Windows XP it is not uncommon to have experienced a corrupt registry or a missing DLL file, or having a blue screen of death. So best prepare yourself by backing up your system files on a regular basis. Prevent a disaster and having to restore your entire operating system, just backup your files, so you can restore them if needed later.

    i want to reformat my pc cos like it takes soooooooooo long to load then recently. i think the ppl who repaired it stole some parts but i checkd n everyhting is there. its jst so slow loading up… ive tampered with regedit, msconfig, regcure bla bla bla u name it, no virus;s or anything, cos when i got it back from reformat… even though it had no programs it was hella sloww + my sp wasnt genuine til i validated it n stufff ahhh help!

    @nptw0er yes you can do that, because your other drive is on D:\ for example. So as long as you dont touch the D:\ or as long as you dont accidently wipte out the entire drive and specify only the C:\ half then the D:\ remains. Be careful

    if i back up all my files onto the spare drive i have, and format
    will that format my c:/ drive? or both drives?
    beacsue i want to format my c drive then just put everything back on..

    wen i click next after i put in the name and dvd drive it says unable to use that filename make sure you are using a valid path and have access… please help (i am a administrator on this computer incase that has anything to do with the access thing)

    I think its better …
    I think its better to make back ups every week, instead letting system restore to take your HDD memory, and only way to clear that memory is format whole HDD… im talking abt 10gb of system restore etc.. i seen that
