I was talking to this guy while waiting for the bus who thinks the 2012 thing is real. He said that three big earthquakes has never happened before like back to back that fast and the Earth’s crust is shifting because 2012 is coming closer. Of course I dont believe in the 2012 apocolypse, but the sure as hell scared me.
Opinions please
Just wait til it hits the U.S.

Something tells me some guy riding a bus, might not be the best source for historic earth quake information.
Earthquakes were far more prevalent millions of years ago.

2012 is just the end of the Mayan calendar. Does the world end on dec 31st? Did it end with Y2K?
It’s not happening.

Yeah, sure. And a Jaguar is going to eat the Sun. Those brilliant human sacrificing Mayans had it all figured out.

Nope…but it is proof of plate tectonics which has nothing to do with 2012…just a natural ongoing process.

Earthquakes happen back to back all the time. Whether they are minor or major. The only reason why the fags who believe 2012 will happen think its coming true is because we are just getting closer to 2012.
Literally there is an earthquake somewhere in the world of some size (sometimes too small to detect) every second. This is because the earth is in motion all the time. 24/7

Bah.. the 2012 thing comes from the ending of the Mayan calender. But you have to ask yourself one question. WHO ARE THE MAYANS that their calender matters at all?
If they were so wise at predicting the future.. they would of likely predicted the end of their civilization and avoided it. Don’t ya think?

Nope. But very clear evidence that the tectonic plates are rocking and rolling.
As they move against each other, the tectonic plates hit hard places to move past. Groan.. push.. creak… bam it lets go and moves a gooder. When that happens, the strain of that movement is transferred to other tectonic plates, and you will see almost exactly what you are seeing, happen.
That 8.8 off the Chile Coast is one that may well effect all of the countries north of Chile before it is finished.

2012? Well I do know the famous words of Jesus when asked the signs of the end times by the Apostles. He said there would be earthquakes in various places. We saw one undersea that caused the killing of many by the tsunami. We just had another 2 and one in Turkey before. We do know we are told by scientists there will be some kind of alignment with the center of our Galaxy and the center of what may be the Creation of the Universe. Whatever.. be ready for what happens by what you believe. Earl

I don’t believe in the 2012 enigma… but I do think that all these natural disasters may be signs of the end times. I follow the Bible, and in Revelations (the book about the end times) it does speak of many natural disasters happening.

There is no apocalypse in 2012. Christ will not return in the year everyone thinks He will.
But I do think its quite interesting and I have wondered if these are the birth-pangs before His return (apocalypse). Earthquake can also have another meaning – which might mean division, particularly of people. Liberalism has done this for use by separating people and destroying the things that once unified us. (particularly God)
In fact, the politics that normalizes and legalizes human wickedness (called liberalism) can be lead by non-other than satan.
Way to go libs, for giving satan a huge political platform.

It’s the media covering the earthquakes in our hemisphere, that and Haiti/Chile were rather large scale. Seismic activity hasn’t really increased, just media attention to the ones that have done significant destruction.
Fewer people died in Chile because the building codes are stricter than Haiti (made of brick rather than straw), even though the Chilean quake was stronger.
Quakes happen weekly/daily, anywhere in the world based on tectonic plate activity and how the two landmasses shift. They DO happen back to back, but the media found a ratings cash cow.
