Are the Haiti and Chile earthquakes preludes to the end in 2012?

May 27th, 2010 by admin · 36 Comments

The world will not end in 2012. The end of the world has been predicted again and again and again by different cultures since, well, since the world began people have been saying it will end soon. It won’t. The only way our world will end before a few billion years when the sun ages, expands, and bakes us off the planet would be the advent of a nuclear war. Since that will not happen (nobody likes the idea of the whole world being dead) it won’t happen. Certianly not in 2012. Earthquakes are natural and have also happened since the dawn of time. The earth’s crust shifts, that’s a fact. The world won’t end in 2012, that’s a fact. Aren’t you old enough to remember 2000? The world was supposed to end then too.

FAILED PROPHECIES:
(I pasted a bunch, so many in fact that I overstepped the number of characters allowed per answer)… so just go here instead and reads them all yourself…. http://www.religioustolerance.org/end_wrld.htm

At least 200 recordings of past failed prophecies.

No they’re not. There is no world ending in 2012, its all a big hoax, remember the world was supposed to end in 2000? That never happened either. Whats happening is climate change, were going to see more severe storms, floods, devasting earthquakes, tornado outbreaks, hurricanes etc.

No, they’re the sequel to when the world was supposed to end in 2000. I mean 1984.

The Mayan calender resets on 2012, it doesn’t end. Honestly, do some research.

NO! Google "plate tectonics." Those earthquakes don’t indicate that the world is going to end in 2012.

YES! The eleventh hour is upon us! Now is the time to repent!

Haha just kidding. If you look at the US Geological Survey website you will no doubt be surprised to see that there are hundreds of earthquakes and tremors occuring around the globe each day. It’s nothing new.

    NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sometimes we are a bit near sighted. Why do we always think the end of Humanity is the end of the world? This old world was here way before us, and when she is tired of us, she will shake us like a bad habit. Yet that will not be the end of the world.

Of course they are a prelude to the end, just as you typing your question is a prelude to the end. The end isn’t here yet. I doubt the world will end in 2012.

May God bless the people of Haiti and Chile in their time of need.

I dont think so. Just because the movie says 2010 it doesnt mean that the world will end in 2012 or what if it had said 2020 of something .. NO Way. Natural disasters are increasing this is the truth but they had happened even before the movie 2012 . So chill up.

I knew someone would ask this ridiculous question sooner or later.
The Mayans came up with a calendar that just so happens to end on Dec 21 2012.
Every culture has its own ideas about the end of the world. I dont think the Mayan guy who was writing out the calendar went up to his chief and said " Here ya go mighty Chief-the calendar you was wanting. Now I know you’re not crazy about the half naked tribal ladies on the cover but I added a little something at the end of it to scare the hell out of people hundreds and hundreds of years in the future. See? Right here? This is where I said the world will end with all manner of death and destruction. Pretty good huh?"

Please tell me you didnt see the movie 2012.

    I don’t think so.
But of course, it’s impossible to predict the future with complete certainty.

That’s one reason why I don’t think the ancient Mayans could predict it with certainty, either.

But if the world does end in 2102, though, please let us all know.

In the meantime, I keep wondering – suppose it WILL end then: what does that mean to ME?

And I can’t think of a single thing.

I mean I’ve toyed with the idea selling my condo, quitting my job, and stopping my monthly health insurance premiums in expectation of the End Times – but somehow, if the world is going to end in 2012, I can’t see how doing any of that stuff will help me.

I guess I could experiment with taking addictive drugs right now just to see what it’s like — since hey, I’ve only going to live 2 more years anyway. But if the end doesn’t come in 2012 and here I’ve gotten myself addicted to crack or something — haven’t I loused up the rest of my life, which could be a long one?

So I can’t say any practical thing to DO ABOUT the world ending, if it’s going to end.
    Can you?

If you just want to scare everyone into converting to your religion, of course, it may make sense to raise questions about the entire planet being demolished in a few years.

But besides being really, really scared and joining some church that will promise me that Jesus will save me from my fear, I can’t imagine any way to respond to the "End Times," and so I don’t think about them very much. I mean – what’s the use?

ha i actually I said that today im like oh looks like 2012 is trying to come early but seriously the world is not going to end anytime soon! no one can predict the world ending we’re not that smart!

No. Natural disasters have happened throughout the history of the earth. Besides, just because the Mayan calendar ends in 2012 does not mean the world will end or even that the ancient Mayans thought it would end then. In a workshop I attended, an expert in Mayan culture (a descendant of Mayans herself) laughed at the idea. She said Mayans had a lot of beliefs centered around cycles and that 2012 was the end of one CYCLE, not the world, and the beginning of another.

Yes it is, but the world is not coming to an end. If you read about 2012, you’ll see that it’s really about a change rather than a physical end of the world. Think of it like a caterpillar morphing into a butterfly. As the change happens the caterpillar becomes dysfunctional, but something beautiful comes out of it.

So, you’ll see increasing dysfunction as we approach 2012, but something better will come out on the other side.
